This supplementary privacy statement contains includes additional information for our 2024 soccer European Championship Prediction Game („Prediction Game“) over and above our general privacy statement.

2. Controller / service provider

The controller as defined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is #YOUR COMPANY#. For further details please see the Imprint or the “Imprint” section of our website.

3. Informational use of our Prediction Game website

Should you visit our Prediction Game pages for purely informational purposes, e.g. without registering to take part in the Prediction Game or use any other service for which prior registration is required, only the following data will be collected:

– IP address of the device you are using for the visit,
– type and settings of the internet browser,
– the operating system used,
– pages visited,
– date, time and duration of visit,
– amount of data transferred,
– access status.

The IP number is a globally unique identifier for each individual end device. It is the address to which data are sent from the internet, e.g. images in our Prediction Game. Without your IP address, our web pages would be unable to respond to your entries and requests or exchange information with your device.

Informational visits are only stored for the purposes of statistics, to optimize our website and for the purposes of system security. We do not create user profiles or similar for visitors accessing our website purely for information.

4. Taking part in the Prediction Game

If you wish to register for the Prediction Game, we further need the following personal data from you:

5. Collection and use of data

Once you have registered to play the Prediction Game, we will also use your data to personalize future visits, e.g. so that we can welcome you by name or send you the day’s results and your position in the ranking by email.

We only collect personal data that you provide voluntarily. We do not collect any personal data without your consent.

Personal data are used only for the purposes of the game in the scope required and in strict conformance with legal regulations.

6. User and game data, publication of prize winners

As the Prediction Game is a community game, by registering you also agree to your points, totals and overall standing being displayed to the other players. This will be done using the nickname you selected when registering.

On registration you also consent to your name (first and last name) being published on the game homepage if you are one of the winners. You can withdraw this consent at any time and still continue to play. Participants are responsible for providing their correct name. No responsibility is taken for the correct publication of names.

7. Evaluation of your data

Provided you have expressly consented to such use of your personal data we would like to evaluate your data and use them for market research. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

For the aforementioned evaluations it may be necessary to combine the personal data you provide, e.g. on registration, with ongoing usage data in user profiles.

The combination and evaluation of data will be done internally and exclusively for the purposes stated.

8. Data storage location

In principle, all data mentioned in this privacy statement will be stored and processed in our own databases or in the databases of service companies that process data on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR; with regard to such service providers, please also refer to section 9. Transferring data to third parties.

9. Transferring data to third parties

If, for performing our services or for organizational processing reasons, it is necessary to transfer your personal data to third parties, we will only transfer such data as are essential for the specific purpose. Such third parties are also bound by data protection provisions and data secrecy regulations.

Service companies working for us as processors are also bound by data protection provisions and data secrecy regulations. For the Prediction Game we have engaged the company Happy Contests GmbH, Maximilianstraße 14, 86150 Augsburg, Germany, which needs to collect, store and use the data to run the Prediction Game. Happy Contests GmbH guarantees that all personal data of the prediction game will be erased by August 15^th, 2024 at the latest.

In the event that you win a prize, your personal data required to award the prize will be transmitted to the respective cooperation partner (e.g. a company that has donated a prize, a bank or a freight forwarder). The data will be retained there until expiry of the statutory retention periods; winners also consent to their name and place of residence being published in advertising media used by the organizer. This includes the announcement of the winners on our communications channels, our website, and our social media platforms.

10. Data erasure

Subject to statutory retention periods (see above), at the end of the Prediction Game and after notification of the winners and the awarding of prizes we will erase all personal data stored in connection with the Prediction Game.

Our technical service provider Happy Contests GmbH undertakes to erase all personal data stored and processed for the Prediction Game by August 15^th, 2024 at the latest.

11. Right to withdraw consent, right to object, erasure of Prediction Game account data

You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. Should you decide to do this, we will erase your personal data immediately insofar as they are no longer required.

However, where data are subject to statutory retention periods or are required for accounting purposes, the data cannot be erased until the retention periods have expired or accounting has been completed.

Personal data provided on registration to take part in the Prediction Game can be erased at any time by deleting a participant’s game account. To delete an account you only need to send an email to #INSERT YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS HERE#.

With the request, all personal data records will be irretrievably deleted from the databases of the organizer or the company commissioned by him with the technical implementation of the prediction game, unless there is a legal obligation to comply with retention periods.

Alternatively, you can delete your user profile yourself at any time in the profile area of the prediction game.

12. Amendments to this supplementary privacy statement

We reserve the right to amend this supplementary privacy statement. We will provide notification of any such amendments on our Prediction Game site.
